Global warming has a lot of known causes. Many things are leading to the weather getting hotter and the water getting warmer and all the different kinda of animals becoming extinct. Some main causes are:

• Carbon Dioxide from cars- the burning of gasoline creates this. The vehicles with poor gas milage contrbute the greatest to global warming. The Unites States is the largest consumer of oil, using 20.4 million barrels pre day. Each gallon of gas a vehicle consumes, 19.6 pounds of carbon dioxide are emitted into the air.
• Methane- Methane is the second most cause of global warming. Methane traps heat into the air. Methane can come from fossile fuel production, bovine flatulence.
• Carbon Dioxide from Poer Plants- About 40% of U.S. carbon dioxide is from the burning of fossil fuels. Natural gas gives off 50% of the carbon dioxide. Coal contains about 80% more carbon pre unit of energy than gas does and oil contains about 40%.
• Carbon Dioxide from Building- Buildings acount for about 2% of carbon dioxide emissions.
